Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment is a medicine used to treat allergic eye disease. It also prevents rejection after corneal transplant surgery. It works by suppressing the action of a protein (calcineurin).

Description
Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment decreases the production of inflammatory chemicals by certain immune cells (T lymphocytes) and relieves redness and swelling. Never use Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time. Wash your hands before using it. Follow the instructions given by your doctor and use it in the dose and duration suggested by the doctor. Make sure you remove contact lenses if you wear them and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back. You must inform your doctor if there’s no improvement even after two weeks of treatment or if it gets worse.
The most common side effects of Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment include eye irritation and burning sensation. Do not use Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding.

How To Use
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.

Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment is an immunomodulator. It works by suppressing the action of a protein (calcineurin). This decreases the production of inflammatory chemicals by certain immune cells (T lymphocytes). This relieves allergic eye symptoms.
What If
If you miss a dose of Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination.
It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation in the eye. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
Consult your doctor if your eye condition has not improved after two weeks of treatment or if it gets worse.
Continuous long-term use of the ointment should be avoided.
