Acupat Ophthalmic Solution is to be used only in the affected eye. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

The most common side effects include burning sensation, irritation, and a stinging sensation at the site of application. These usually temporary and resolve with time. If they persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case by accident, this medicine goes into your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.

Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.

Treatment of Allergic conjunctivitis

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Acupat Ophthalmic Solution is a combination of two medicines: Ketorolac and Olopatadine, which relieves eye itching/discomfort caused by seasonal allergies. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye. Olopatadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, watery eyes.

If you miss a dose of Acupat Ophthalmic Solution, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Acupat Ophthalmic Solution is prescribed for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.

Acupat Ophthalmic Solution should usually be used twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.

To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.

Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.

Eye infections can cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Wearing sunglasses may help to prevent this.

Along with using Acupat Ophthalmic Solution, give a warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation.

Wash your hands before using Acupat Ophthalmic Solution to avoid contamination, and do not touch the tip of the dropper. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using Acupat Ophthalmic Solution. For using Acupat Ophthalmic Solution tilt your head back, look up, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch and then put Acupat Ophthalmic Solution.

No, do not stop taking Acupat Ophthalmic Solution and complete the full course of treatment. Your symptoms may improve and you may start feeling better before the infection is completely cured. Take your medicine for the duration as advised by your doctor.

Acupat Ophthalmic Solution can make your eyes blurred for a short period of time. Avoid driving or operating machinery just after using Acupat Ophthalmic Solution.

Allergic conjunctivitis is swelling and redness in the eye caused by an allergy to pollen or dust. It also causes itching, burning sensation as well as watery eyes. Acupat Ophthalmic Solution gives relief from these symptoms and makes you feel better. In order to prevent allergic conjunctivitis, it is advisable to stay inside and keep doors and windows closed when the pollen count is high. Also minimise your exposure to dust and keep your house and workplace clean.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
