Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet can be taken on an empty stomach or after food. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should use it regularly to get the most benefit from the medicine. Do not stop using the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.

Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, stomach pain, and nausea. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away or get worse.

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys. You should also tell your doctor all the other medicines you are taking. Your doctor may monitor your blood glucose regularly while on treatment with this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet is a synthetic form of vasopressin (natural hormone that balances water). It works by causing reabsorption of water from the kidneys which controls excessive thirst and urination in diabetes insipidus. It also helps decrease night-time urine production and bedwetting in children. In addition to these, it reduces bleeding episodes by promoting the release of blood clotting factors.

If you miss a dose of Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet for the treatment of diabetes insipidus and/or bed-wetting.

Limit the amount of fluids you drink with this medication.

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet can cause low sodium levels in your body. Get regular blood tests done to monitor the levels.

Inform your doctor if you develop an infection, fever, diarrhea, or vomiting.

Talk to your doctor if you have sudden weight gain or swelling in your arms and legs that does not go away. 

Q. What precautions do I need to take while on Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet?

Follow all the instructions given by your doctor strictly. Restrict water intake after taking Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet as drinking too much water can lead to fluid overload, which is a serious side effect. Try not to swallow water while swimming.

Q. How long do I need to give Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet to my child for bedwetting?

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet is usually prescribed for 3 months for bedwetting. After 3 months, your doctor will stop the medicine for a week to assess whether your child still needs Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet or not.

No, Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet does not cure bedwetting, but it helps control bedwetting. It works by replacing a hormone (vasopressin) that is normally produced in the body to help balance the amount of water and salt.

Q. Does Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet make you gain weight?

No, Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet itself does not cause weight gain. Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet may cause fluid overload which may in turn cause weight gain. Fluid overload is a serious side effect and you should immediately contact your doctor if you experience headache, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, tiredness, loss of appetite, sleepiness, confusion and muscle cramps.

Q. Is Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet a diuretic?

No, Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet is not a diuretic. It is a hormone which helps lower urine output in patients with diabetes insipidus and helps control bedwetting in children. It works by reducing the amount of urine produced by the kidneys, thereby reducing the frequency of urination.

Q. How should Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet be taken?

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet should be taken with small quantity of water, juice or milk. If the child cannot swallow the whole tablet, crush or cut the tablet before giving it to the child. The sublingual tablets or ‘melts’ should be placed below the tongue and then melted tablet should be swallowed.

In Diabetes insipidus

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet brings about rapid action of controlling thirst and also reduces the urge to urinate often. This helps to manage these symptoms in diabetes insipidus. This improves your quality of life.

In Bed-wetting

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet contains the hormone vasopressin, which acts on the kidneys and reduces the frequency and amount of urine produced by the kidneys. This helps to treat bedwetting in children. Bedwetting can be uncomfortable as well as embarrassing for the children and also their parents. Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving:SAFE

Adiuretin 0.2mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
