It is advisable to take AF Kit Tablet at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of the medicine in the blood. In case you have missed any doses, take it as soon as you remember it. Never skip any doses and finish a full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

It may cause side effects like nausea, headache, vomiting, taste change, dizziness, indigestion, loss of appetite, and stomach pain. It may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration.

Before you use this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any preexisting medical conditions or if you are taking any other medicines. Let your doctor also know if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients of this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should ask the advice of their doctor before using this medicine. 

Treatment of Syndromic treatment of vaginal discharge

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. AF Kit Tablet is to be taken with food.

AF Kit Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics (Azithromycin and Ornidazole) and an antifungal (Fluconazole). Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ornidazole kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Fluconazole works by stopping the growth of fungi in the body. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

If you miss a dose of AF Kit Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take your medication timely to maintain steady levels in your body.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.

Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking AF Kit Tablet.

Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if diarrhea bothers you.

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking medication as it may cause increased side effects.

Q. Can I stop taking AF Kit Tablet when I feel better?

No, do not stop taking AF Kit Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

Q. Can the use of AF Kit Tablet cause diarrhea?

Yes, the use of AF Kit Tablet can cause diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice any signs of dehydration, like less urination with dark colored and strong-smelling urine. Do not take any other medicine without consulting a doctor.

Q. Will a higher than the recommended dose of AF Kit Tablet be more effective?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having serious side effects and toxicity. If the recommended doses do not relieve your symptoms or there is an increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Q. What are the instructions for storage and disposal of AF Kit Tablet?

Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

Q. What if I don’t get better after using AF Kit Tablet?

Inform your doctor if you don’t feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.

Vaginal discharge is completely normal if it is not accompanied by other symptoms such as foul smell, change in color, a sudden increase in the quantity, itching, irritation or burning sensation. These symptoms can be embarrassing as well as bothersome. AF Kit Tablet helps in effectively managing these symptoms by killing the organisms responsible for causing an infection of the vagina.
