Aftron Tablet is a combination of three medicines : L-Methyl Folate, Methylcobalamin, and Iron. L-methylfolate is the primary biologically active isomer of folic acid and the primary form of folate in circulation. Folic Acid is a form of vitamin B. It plays a vital role in the formation of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body. It is also essential in pregnancy due to its role in the development of the unborn baby’s brain and spinal cord. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Iron is vital for the formation of new red blood cells and hemoglobin, a substance that gives these cells the ability to transport oxygen.

If you miss a dose of Aftron Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Aftron Tablet is given to treat anemia due to iron deficiency.

It is better to take it after a meal in order to reduce stomach discomfort.

Let your doctor know if you are taking any antibiotics. Since Aftron Tablet might reduce the effect of certain antibiotics.

Iron supplements can make your stools look darker in color. This is completely harmless.
