Aknea Soap

Aknea Soap should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Apply only on the affected areas of the skin. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. The most common side effects include skin peeling, redness, dry skin and burning and sensation at the application site.

If this side effect persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case by accident, this medicine goes into your eyes, ears, nose or mouth, immediately rinse it with water. Inform your doctor if you notice darkening or discoloration, or severe burning sensation at the treated skin.

Inform your doctor if you have known allergies from this medicine. If you are pregnant or suffering from any other condition, please inform your doctor. This medicine is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers.

Acne

Aknea Soap is a combination of two medicines: Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin, which treats pimples (acne) by penetrating into the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria. Benzoyl Peroxide additionally reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes the skin and helps keep your pores open.

If you miss a dose of Aknea Soap, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Aknea Soap for the treatment of acne.

It is recommended that you use a mild soap and lukewarm water to wash with, as very hot or cold water may worsen acne. Do not wash more than you normally do.

Apply a thin layer on the affected area. It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.

Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.

During your treatment, your doctor may ask you to use another (non-antibiotic) skin preparation from time to time. It is important that you follow your doctor’s advice, as this is to help prevent your acne from becoming resistant to treatment.

You may have to use it for a long time before your acne starts to improve. Be patient and keep using it every day. If, however, your skin has not improved even after completing the prescribed time, consult your doctor.

Q. Can I use Aknea Soap as a spot treatment (single pimple)?

It is not a spot treatment and should not be used to treat a single pimple. Aknea Soap should be applied to the entire face. Using it once every day can treat your acne.

Q. How long does Aknea Soap take to work?

It may take up to 2-3 weeks before your symptoms improve. Aknea Soap may take some time to deliver significant results. Use the medicine as directed and tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.

Q. Will Aknea Soap be more effective if I overuse it?

No, do not overuse Aknea Soap. It can result in too much medicine being absorbed into the body and cause severe diarrhea. If you are experiencing increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Aknea Soap?

Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

In Acne

Aknea Soap is used to treat and control acne. It also has a mild drying effect that allows excess oil and dirt to be easily washed away from the face. This helps keep your pores open and prevent further acne breakouts. It may take two to six weeks of treatment with Aknea Soap before the full effect of the medicine is seen. This medicine will help improve your mood and uplift your confidence as acne reduces.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
