Alday AG Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and congestion or stiffness. It also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out.

Description
Alday AG Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, stomach pain, dryness in mouth, headache, and rash. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse.
Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney and liver diseases. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

How To Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Alday AG Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
MOA
Alday AG Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Cetirizine and Guaifenesin which relieve cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways.
What If
If you miss a dose of Alday AG Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alday AG Syrup is prescribed to get relief from cough with mucus.
Drink warm water to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Use a proper measuring cup or spoon to measure the dosage.
If you are drowsy after taking Alday AG Syrup, you should not drive or operate any machinery.
In general, most coughs do not last more than 2 weeks. If your cough does last longer than this then it’s better to see your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for e.g. anti-depressants.
