Alerid Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. It is used to treat various allergic conditions such as hay fever, conjunctivitis and some skin reactions, and reactions to bites and stings. It relieves watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and itching.

Alerid Tablet is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.
06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Alerid Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alerid Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Alerid Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Alerid Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.Larger doses or prolonged use of Alerid Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby.
Driving:SAFE
Alerid Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney:CAUTION
Alerid Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alerid Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, it is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. It may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end-stage kidney disease.
Liver:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Alerid Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Alerid Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Your doctor has prescribed Alerid Tablet to help relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes.
It’s much less likely to make you feel sleepy than other similar medications.
It is okay to take Alerid Tablet with most other medications as it has few drug interactions.
Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Alerid Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Do not drink alcohol while taking Alerid Tablet as it may cause increased sleepiness.
Stop taking Alerid Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
