Algitab Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It relieves from allergic symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes. It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, inflammation, and fever.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Algitab Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
05How It Works
Algitab Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, caffeine and chlorpheniramine which relieve common cold symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Caffeine increases the effectiveness of paracetamol. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.
06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Algitab Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Driving:UNSAFE
Algitab Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Algitab Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Algitab Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.Use of Algitab Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver:CAUTION
Algitab Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Algitab Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, the use of Algitab Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
10Drug Tips
Algitab Tablet is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold.
Along with taking Algitab Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief:Steam inhalation.Gargling with warm saltwater.Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.
