Ambizyme Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of amebiasis. It helps relief the symptoms and speed up recovery.

Ambizyme Tablet is best taken after food. This will help minimize side effects. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take it more or less. Take it regularly every day at the same time to get maximum benefit. Do jot stop taking the medicine until you complete the full dose.

This medicine may cause a few side effects such as fever, chills, thyroid gland enlargement (neck swelling), blurred vision, and peripheral neuropathy. If you experience any of these side effects, and it bothers you, let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or prevent the side effects.

Ambizyme Tablet is a halogenated 8-hydroxyquinoline, an amoebicide with antifungal and antibacterial properties. It chelates trace metals at bacterial surfaces, which are essential for bacterial growth.

Q: What if you forget to take this medicine?
A:

Ambizyme Tablet is used to give relief from diarrhea, stomach pain associated with amebiasis.

Always drink filter water and avoid tap water. In case filter water is not available, boil and cool the water before drinking.

Eat home cook food and avoid outside food during the treatment.

Thoroughly wash fruits and vegetables before eating. Drink only pasteurized milk and dairy products.

In Intestinal amoebiasis

Intestinal amoebiasis is a parasitic infection of the intestines that occurs mostly due to intake of contaminated food or water. The symptoms of amoebiasis include loose stools (diarrhea), stomach cramps and stomach pain. Ambizyme Tablet helps to treat this infection by killing the infection causing parasites. It relieves these symptoms and also helps you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.
