Ambrican 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food but, it is better to take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. In case, you have missed any dose than it is better to take another one as soon as you remember it.

Dizziness may occur as its side effect, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. You may also have other side effects like, headache, palpitations, breathlessness, runny nose, feeling sick, diarrhea or fatigue. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bothers you or persists for a longer duration.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ambrican 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Ambrican 5 Tablet is an endothelin receptor blocker. It blocks the action of endothelin (a natural substance) that causes blood vessels to narrow (constrict). This narrowing increases the pressure in the blood vessels of the lungs. Ambrican 5 Tablet helps relax these blood vessels and increases the supply of blood to the lungs.

If you miss a dose of Ambrican 5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Your doctor has prescribed Ambrican 5 Tablet to treat high pressure in the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs (the pulmonary arteries).

It helps improve your quality of life, exercising ability, and delay disease progression.

Your doctor may ask you to get routine blood tests done to check for anemia and to assess the functioning of your liver.

Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Ambrican 5 Tablet affects you.

Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

Females with reproductive potential should use a reliable form of birth control while using and 1 month after stopping Ambrican 5 Tablet as it is toxic to an unborn baby.

Inform your doctor if you notice weight gain, swelling of your arms and legs, or difficulty breathing.

Q. Can Ambrican 5 Tablet cause liver problems?

Yes, Ambrican 5 Tablet commonly causes an increase in liver enzymes. It may rarely cause liver injury and inflammation of the liver because of the body’s own defences (autoimmune hepatitis). Consult your doctor if you have nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dark-colored urine and yellowing of the skin.

Usually, the doctors advise to take one dose of Ambrican 5 Tablet. You can take it with or without food at any time of the day but prefer taking it at the same time each day. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it into pieces.

Ambrican 5 Tablet is used to treat pulmonary hypertension in adults. Ambrican 5 Tablet lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the pulmonary arteries, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them.

Q. What are the symptoms of overdose of Ambrican 5 Tablet?

Taking more than the recommended dose of Ambrican 5 Tablet may cause headache, flushing, dizziness, or nausea. It may cause low blood pressure which may further lead to lightheadedness. Contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical services in a nearby hospital if you take more than the recommended doses of this medicine.

In Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)

Pulmonary arterial hypertension can cause shortness of breath, tiredness, dizziness, chest pain and swelling in your ankles and legs. It is caused by thickening of walls of the arteries that supply your lungs making it hard for blood to get through. Ambrican 5 Tablet relaxes the blood vessels and can help lower the blood pressure in the arteries of your lungs. You will be able to carry out your daily activities more easily and feel less tired or dizzy.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Driving:CAUTION

Ambrican 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ambrican 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on use of Ambrican 5 Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.

Liver:CAUTION
