Amlonis H Tablet

Amlonis H Tablet should be taken with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.

The most common side effects of this medicine include ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, tiredness, and taste change. Consult your doctor If any of these bother you, or get worse, or won’t go away. Drink plenty of fluids while taking medicine to overcome muscle weakness, dry mouth, and extreme thirst.

Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure, kidney function, level of electrolytes, and blood sugar level checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlonis H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Amlonis H Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Losartan, Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

If you miss a dose of Amlonis H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Amlonis H Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure.

Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.

It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

Amlonis H Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.

Use of Amlonis H Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.

In Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Amlonis H Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Amlonis H Tablet.

Pregnancy:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Amlonis H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Amlonis H Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Amlonis H Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Amlonis H Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney:CAUTION

Amlonis H Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amlonis H Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Amlonis H Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver:CAUTION

Amlonis H Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amlonis H Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
