Dry eyes

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Appavisc Injection is a viscoelastic preparation. It works by supporting and protecting the deeper layers of the eye from damage during eye surgery.

If you miss a dose of Appavisc Injection, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Your doctor has prescribed Appavisc Injection to treat dry eye disease.

It stabilizes the natural tear film and maintains necessary lubrication so your eyes don’t get dry and irritated.

May require long-term use.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.

Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of this medicine.

Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 minutes. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.

Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

These conditions could be a result of deficient tear production, infrequent blinking, smoke, wind, pollution, extended use of computer screen or television, medical treatment and dry atmospheric conditions. Appavisc Injection may also be used to aid insertion of contact lenses or to make the lenses more comfortable while wearing.

Appavisc Injection is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Appavisc Injection too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.
