Aprotic Drop is a combination medicine used to treat loss of appetite. It is an effective appetite stimulant. It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger which regulates appetite.
Aprotic Drop is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. The most common side effects are constipation, dryness in mouth, and blurred vision. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It can cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.
Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Aprotic Drop may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
05How It Works
Aprotic Drop is a combination of two medicines: Choline and Cyproheptadine. Choline is a bile acid binding agent. It removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result, the levels of cholesterol in the body is lowered. Cyproheptadine works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite.

Driving:UNSAFE
Aprotic Drop may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Aprotic Drop may cause dizziness, sedation, and hypotension in elderly patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Aprotic Drop is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Aprotic Drop may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
