Ascoxol-P Drops comprises four active ingredients that together help treat wet cough (cough with mucus). It also relieves throat irritation, clears congestion, and soothes sore throat to enable easy breathing in your child.

Description
Give this medicine to your child by mouth with or without food. If your child develops an upset stomach, prefer giving it with food. You may require to give this medicine to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon the severity of the infection. For maximum benefit, do not stop the medication abruptly by yourself even if your child starts to feel better and continue the medicine until the full prescribed course. Do not give more than the prescribed dose for fast relief as it may cause unwanted effects and worsen your child’s condition.
Some of the common side effects of this medicine include excessive saliva production, fatigue, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, irregular heartbeat, rash, tremors, and abnormal sensations. Usually, these episodes subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, if these effects persist or become bothersome for your child, report to your child’s doctor on a priority basis.
Do not give this medicine to your child for the long term or the treatment of any chronic respiratory illness without consulting your child’s doctor. Check the medicine label properly and never combine this medicine with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects.

Ascoxol-P Drops is a combination of four medicines: Guaifenesin, Ambroxol, Terbutaline, and Sorbitol. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways. Sorbitol is an artificial sweetener.
What If
Do not panic. Unless your doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if itโs almost time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
