Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

If you miss a dose of Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic (long-term) condition in which there is an excess production of acid in the stomach. Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes and relieves the pain associated with heartburn and acid reflux. You should take it exactly as it is prescribed for it to be effective. Some simple lifestyle changes can help reduce the symptoms of GERD. Think about what foods trigger heartburn and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight, and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3-4 hours of going to bed.

In Treatment of Peptic ulcer disease

Peptic ulcer disease is a condition in which painful sores or ulcers develop in the inner lining of the stomach or gut (intestine). Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes which prevents further damage to the ulcer as it heals naturally. You may be given other medicines along with this medicine depending on what caused the ulcer. You need to keep taking the medicine as it is prescribed for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.show moreshow less

Pregnancy:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding:CAUTION

Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving:UNSAFE

Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:CAUTION

Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

You have been prescribed Atipraz-D 10mg/40mg Tablet for the treatment of acidity and heartburn.

Take it one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning.

It is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time.

Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.

Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention.

Long-term use can cause weak bones and deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor.
