Audisol Ear Drop is a combination of two medicines: Paradichlorobenzene, Benzocaine and Chlorbutol which treat ear infections. Paradichlorobenzene is an ear wax softener which dissolves the ear wax while exerting antibacterial and antifungal actions. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain.
If you miss a dose of Audisol Ear Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Audisol Ear Drop is used to soften ear wax and to ease pain, swelling associated with ear infections.
The best time to use this medicine is before you go to bed.
Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear.
To make sure that the right amount of medication is given, and to avoid touching the ear with the dropper, have another person give the drops if possible.
Never put cotton bud or anything else in your ear to try and clear the wax yourself.
Make sure not to use the open bottle more than 4 weeks.
