Aurophenyl 2.5% Eye Drop is usually taken when needed. Use the number of drops as advised by your doctor. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering any other medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken before you open it. Always wash your hands and do not touch the end of the dropper.

The most common side effects of using this medicine are eye pain and photophobia. These are usually temporary and go away with time. You should let your doctor know if the side effects do not improve or if they get worse.

Do not use it while wearing soft contact lenses and talk to your doctor if you develop an eye infection while using it. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Eye examination

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Aurophenyl 2.5% Eye Drop is a decongestant. It works by narrowing blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling).

If you miss a dose of Aurophenyl 2.5% Eye Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Aurophenyl 2.5% Eye Drop is used to enlarge the pupil for an eye examination.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.

Pain in the eye may occur for 1-2 minutes. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.

Remove contact lenses before using Aurophenyl 2.5% Eye Drop and give a gap of 10-15 minutes before wearing them again.
