Avanair 100 Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. It works by helping relax the blood vessels in your penis, allowing the blood to flow into your penis when you get sexually excited.

Avanair 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be strictly taken as advised by your doctor. The medicine will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. You should take it about one hour before you plan to have sex. The amount of time it takes to work varies from person to person, but it normally takes between 30 minutes and one hour. Take it only if you need it and it has been prescribed to you by a doctor.

The most common side effects of this medicine are headache, flushing, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, and back pain. Talk to the doctor if the side effects are bothersome or do not go away.

This medicine is not intended for use by women, and men should avoid using any other medicines to treat impotence without talking to a doctor. It can be dangerous to take this medicine along with medicines called nitrates (often given for chest pain). Avanair 100 Tablet helps widen (relax) certain blood vessels and improves the blood flow to the penis that leads to penile erection following sexual stimulation.

Q: What if you forget to take Avanair Tablet?
A: If you forget to take Avanair 100 Tablet, take it only when needed before sexual activity. Since it’s not a daily medication, you don’t need to make up for a missed dose. Never take more than one dose at a time to avoid side effects.

Take Avanair 100 Tablet exactly as your doctor tells you to. It is intended to be taken before sexual activity and is not to be used daily.

Avoid alcohol since it can reduce your ability to get an erection and may prevent you from getting the maximum benefits of this medicine.

Let your doctor know if you have any heart disease, high or low blood pressure, or a history of heart attack.

If you experience sudden visual disturbances, stop taking Avanair 100 Tablet and consult your doctor immediately.

i. Patients should not use Avanair 100 Tablet if sexual activity is inadvisable due to a history of heart disease.
ii. Patients on Avanair 100 Tablet taking medications for high blood pressure or alcohol in large amounts may experience a drop in blood pressure which can make them feel dizzy, faint, or have a heart attack or stroke.
iii. Patients should seek emergency treatment if an erection lasts for more than 4 hours.
iv. Patients should stop Avanair 100 Tablet and seek medical care if a sudden loss of vision occurs in one or both eyes, which could be a sign of non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

Avanair 100 Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Avanair 100 Tablet is recommended.
