Avinim MR 100mg/500mg Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Using this medicine can cause some common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, sleepiness, weakness, and increased liver enzymes. Avinim MR 100mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Nimesulide and Chlorzoxazone which relieve muscle pain. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant. It works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve the muscle stiffness or spasm.

If you miss a dose of Avinim MR 100mg/500mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Avinim MR 100mg/500mg Tablet to get relief from pain and stiffness in the muscles.

Take it with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach.

You may see results within 1.5 to 2 hours after taking Avinim MR 100mg/500mg Tablet. Take it exactly as advised by your doctor.

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine as it can increase your risk of stomach problems.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures.

Along with taking Avinim MR 100mg/500mg Tablet, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from muscle pain.
