Bactacare Plus Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, Sucralfate and Povidone Iodine. Metronidazole is an antibiotic. Sucralfate is an anti-ulcer medicine which covers the damaged tissue and protects it against injury to facilitate healing. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms.

If you miss a dose of Bactacare Plus Ointment, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
