Betadine Effervescent Granules 2gm is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you’re given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Betadine Effervescent Granules 2gm may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Betadine Effervescent Granules 2gm is an antiseptic. It kills harmful infection causing microorganisms. This is how it works to prevent and treat infections.

If you miss a dose of Betadine Effervescent Granules 2gm, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

However, take special care if you are applying Betadine Effervescent Granules 2gm on open large wounds or where the skin is broken like burns. The reason being there may be a risk of excessive absorption of iodine in the blood which may increase to toxic levels.

Betadine Effervescent Granules 2gm has a natural golden brown color which stains the area where you have applied it. It does not however, permanently stain your skin and fingernails. The stain can be easily removed from your clothes with soap and water.
