Boromet Dental Gel

Boromet Dental Gel should be used exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not use more or for a longer period than the prescribed duration. Read the label thoroughly for instructions before using the medicine. Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area with clean and dry hands. Do not rinse your mouth after application and avoid swallowing the medicine. It may take several days for your symptoms to improve, continue applying the medicine regularly.
The medicine may lead to some side effects such as tingling and burning sensation at the application site. These are usually self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare. Consult the doctor if you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.). Avoid exposing the medicine to your nose or mouth, in case of accidental contact, rinse it off with cold water.
Before taking this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same condition or other diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should take this medicine with proper consultation and caution. Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

Mouth ulcers

This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

Boromet Dental Gel is a combination of two medicines: Benzocaine and Metronidazole which treat mouth sores (ulcers). Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases pain sensation in the mouth. Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause gum disease, ulcers and other mouth infections by damaging bacterial DNA.

If you miss a dose of Boromet Dental Gel, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may take several weeks to show its action. Keep using it as suggested by your doctor.

Boromet Dental Gel is prescribed for the treatment of mouth ulcers.

Apply a thin layer on the affected area and do not rub vigorously.

Do not eat or drink immediately after applying Boromet Dental Gel. 

Avoid spicy and sour foods until the ulcers heal.

Regularly rinse your mouth with warm, slightly salted water at least twice a day after your meals.

Boromet Dental Gel is a treatment for fast, effective relief of pain from mouth ulcers. It stops pain by producing a feeling of numbness at the site of application. Boromet Dental Gel also reduces redness, swelling, promotes healing of the ulcers, and prevents infection. It is advisable to reapply Boromet Dental Gel after every 3-4 hours for better results.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
