Calsmooth Lotion

Calsmooth Lotion is a prescription medicine used to treat allergic skin conditions. It works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine), and provide relief from symptoms of skin allergy such as skin irritation.

Calsmooth Lotion should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. It is for external use only.

Do not use this medicine more than the recommended dose. Inform your doctor if you have known allergies to this medicine. This medicine is generally safe to use and has minimal or no side effects.

Allergic skin conditions

This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

Calsmooth Lotion is a combination of two astringents (Calamine and Camphor) and an antiallergic (Diphenhydramine). The astringents work by imparting a cooling sensation on the skin to relieve minor skin irritation. The antiallergic works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby relieving symptoms of skin allergy.

Q: What if you forget to take Calsmooth Lotion?
A: If you miss a dose of Calsmooth Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Calsmooth Lotion is used to treat itching and skin irritation due to allergies.

Before you applythis medicine, wash the skin with a mild soap (preferably non -scented) and water. Allow the skin to dry completely.

Apply Calsmooth Lotion directly to the skin and rub in gently. You may also use a cotton ball to smooth the medicine onto your skin. Wash your hands after applying.

Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by the doctor. Allow the medicine to dry on its own.

In Allergic skin conditions

Calsmooth Lotion gives relief from itching, dryness and irritation associated with various allergic skin problems. It gives a cooling and a soothing effect when applied over rashes. It is also used to temporarily relieve pain caused by insect bites, minor burns, cuts and sunburn. Apply 2-3 times in a day or as prescribed. You may see an improvement in your skin after 2-3 weeks of using Calsmooth Lotion.
