Give Cipgo Oral Drops to your child by mouth before food in the dose, time, and way prescribed by your child’s doctor. Give this medicine at a fixed time so that it gradually becomes a part of your child’s daily routine. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine,  help the child calm down and repeat the dose.

To experience significant hunger stimulation and weight gain, you may require to continue giving this medicine to your child for a few days a month. Therefore, for maximum benefit, it is advised to continue the treatment for the prescribed duration.

The intake of Cipgo Oral Drops may cause minor and temporary side effects in your child such as increased heartbeat, dizziness, confusion, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and blurred vision. These symptoms will resolve once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case of prolonged or bothersome events, it would be best to consult your child’s doctor without any delay.

Cipgo Oral Drops contains two medicines cyproheptadine and tricholine citrate. Together they stimulate the urge to eat (appetite). Cyproheptadine acts by reducing the effect of serotonin (a chemical messenger) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine citrate also helps in increasing appetite and spares amino acids for muscle enhancement.

Do not panic. Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up on any missed dose, follow the prescribed dosing schedule strictly.

Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and chewing on sugarless candy may help.

Cipgo Oral Drops can cause a bitter taste in your child’s mouth. Eating a piece of citrus fruit or sugarless candy may help.
