Coastat Plus 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of bleeding. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. It also increases the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, headache, nasal congestion, sinus pain, sinus inflammation, rash, tiredness, and musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain. It may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. It is advised to consult with your doctor if you do not notice any changes in periods after 3 consecutive periods.
Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any kidney problems or vaginal bleeding disorder. Coastat Plus 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Ethamsylate. Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. Ethamsylate is a hemostatic. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).
06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Coastat Plus 500 mg/250 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Coastat Plus 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is prescribed to reduce excessive bleeding during menstruation.
Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
If you get diarrhea while taking this medicine, consult your doctor immediately.
Along with taking Coastat Plus 500 mg/250 mg Tablet you can use a heating pad or try gentle massage and relaxation techniques to get relief during periods.
Inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your bleeding after using this medicine for three consecutive periods.
Inform your doctor if you have any bleeding disorders.
