Col 200mg Injection reduces the risk of having another stroke, especially in a patient who has already had a stroke earlier. It can be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It is given as an injection under the supervision of a doctor. You can reduce your risk of having a blood clot by making changes to your lifestyle, such as not smoking, eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise and losing weight if you need to.

The most common side effects of Col 200mg Injection are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased white blood cell count. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects.

This medicine is not suitable for some people. Do not use it if you are bleeding, you have had a stroke caused by bleeding in the brain, have problems with your liver, or if you are taking certain medicines. This medicine may need to be stopped temporarily before planned surgery or dental treatment.

Prevention of Stroke

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Col 200mg Injection is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together, thereby decreasing the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of stroke or heart attack.

If you miss a dose of Col 200mg Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Do not discontinue using the medicine without consulting your doctor as this may increase your chances of having another heart attack or stroke.

You may be asked for regular blood tests to monitor CBC (complete blood count). Inform your doctor if you experience decreased white blood cells (WBC) and any infection.

Col 200mg Injection may lower your ability to fight off infections and make you more susceptible to them. Tell your doctor right away if you have any signs of infection (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat and chills)

Drinking too much alcohol while taking Col 200mg Injection can irritate your stomach. This can increase your risk of getting a stomach ulcer. Therefore, avoid alcohol intake while taking this medicine.

Col 200mg Injection is a blood thinner which lowers your chance of getting or dying from a heart attack or stroke. However, this blood thinning property of Col 200mg Injection (and similar drugs) can cause serious bleeding and may even lead to death in some cases. The need for blood transfusions or surgery may arise in cases of serious bleeding, such as internal bleeding.

Col 200mg Injection starts working within 30 minutes of taking your first dose. You may not feel any different after you start taking Col 200mg Injection, but this does not mean that the medicine is not working.

This helps the blood flow freely around your body thereby preventing a stroke. It is given as an injection by your doctor or healthcare provider. Take this medicine regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes to achieve maximum benefits. It is often prescribed along with a low dose of aspirin which also helps to prevent blood from clotting.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Pregnancy:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Breast feeding:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Col 200mg Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Col 200mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

There is limited information available on the use of Col 200mg Injection in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:CAUTION

Col 200mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Col 200mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of liver function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
