It helps in developing immunity by initiating a mild infection. It helps the immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections.

Comvac 4 HB Injection is a combination of four medicines. Diphtheria Toxoid, Tetanus Toxoid, Pertussis Toxoid, and Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) are vaccines (inactivated microorganisms) that are formulated together to develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body’s immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections. Aluminium Hydroxide is an adjuvant that helps to potentiate the action of the vaccine in the body by increasing its uptake. This is how it works to prevent various viral and bacterial infections.

In Prevention of Diphtheria
Diphtheria is a bacterial infection that causes pain and swelling in the throat. This might cause difficulty in breathing. It might also damage the heart, kidneys and nerves. Comvac 4 HB Injection gives protection against diphtheria. It is recommended to get your child vaccinated against diphtheria starting at 6 weeks through 6 years.
