Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection is used in the treatment of breast cancer. It is used to treat adults with breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, and who have already received other anticancer medicines after the cancer has spread.

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection can be used on its own, or sometimes given together with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy. It is given as injection under the supervision of doctor. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.The most common side effects of this medicine include weakness, hair loss, nausea, and constipation. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells (decrease red blood) in your blood, thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with heart, liver, and blood uric acid and electrolytes levels. You might experience numbness, tingling or pricking sensations in your hands and feet. Consult with your doctor immediately if it bothers you or would not go away on their own.Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection is an anticancer medication. It works by interfering with the microtubule structures which help the cancer cells to divide and multiply. This blocks the growth cycle (cell cycle) of cancer cells and eventually kills them.

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection helps treat breast cancer that has spread to other areas of the body.

It is given by an injection into a vein (intravenously).

It may cause dizziness and tiredness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.

Use a reliable contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy while you are taking this medicine and for three months after you stop taking it.

Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor your blood cells and electrolyte levels during treatment with this medicine.

Inform your doctor immediately if you notice any signs of infection such as fever, sore throat, rash or severe diarrhea while taking this medicine.

It may cause numbness, tingling or pricking sensations in your hands and feet. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.

Q. How long can I stay on Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection?

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection is usually given on Days 1 and 8 of each recommended 21-day cycle. The duration of treatment varies from person to person. The number of cycles required for effective treatment will be decided by your doctor. Depending on the results of your blood tests, the doctor may need to delay administration of the medicine until the blood tests return to normal. If required, the doctor may also decide to reduce the dose you are given.

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection will be given to you by a doctor or healthcare professional as an injection into a vein, over a period of 2 to 5 minutes. The dose required will be decided based on your body surface area (expressed in square metres, or m2) which is calculated from your weight and height. The doctor may adjust the usual dose based on your blood test results or other factors. To ensure that the whole dose of Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection is given, it is recommended that a saline solution is flushed into the vein after Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection is given.

Q. What are the serious side effects of Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection?

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection can cause serious side effects which include low white blood cell count (neutropenia). This can lead to serious infections that could lead to death. It can also cause numbness, tingling, or pain in your hands or feet (peripheral neuropathy). Peripheral neuropathy is common with Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection and sometimes can be severe. It can cause harm to the baby when administered to a pregnant woman.

Q. When can I plan a pregnancy if I am using Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection?

Women of childbearing age should use effective contraception during and up to 3 months after treatment with Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection.It may cause serious birth defects and should not be used if you are pregnant unless it is thought clearly necessary after carefully considering all the risk to you and the baby.

Q. What precautions should be followed while handling Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection?

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection should be handled carefully. Avoid any contact with skin, eyes, mouth and insides of nose. It is recommended to use gloves, goggles, and protective clothing while handling the medicine. If the skin comes into contact with the solution, it should be washed immediately and thoroughly with soap and water. Similarly, if your eyes, mouth or nose come in contact with Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection, flush the area thoroughly with water. Pregnant staff should not handle Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection.

Q. In which solution should Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection injection be diluted?

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection may be diluted in up to 100 ml of sodium chloride 9 mg/ml (0.9%) solution and not in 5% dextrose. It should be given under the supervision of a physician experienced in giving cancer chemotherapy and should be administered by a health care professional only.

In Metastatic breast cancer

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection helps to treat breast cancer and it may be used alone or in combination with other medicines or treatment modalities like chemotherapy. This medicine is used when other medicines have not shown significant improvement and the cancer has spread to other parts as well. It relieves the symptoms of breast cancer such as breast lumps, bloody discharge from nipples or changes in the shape or texture of the breast. Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. Discuss with your doctor if any of the side effects bother you.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Breast feeding:UNSAFE

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Cyebulin 0.5mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:CAUTION
