Cystran 2.5 Tablet

Cystran 2.5 Tablet is advised to take it in a dose and duration as per prescription. It should be taken on an empty stomach at least an hour before having a meal. Swallow the medicine as a whole without crushing or chewing it. You should not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine are dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, and headache. Drink plenty of water to reduce these side effects. It may also make you feel dizzy or sleepy or experience blurry vision, so it advised not to drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Consumption of alcohol must be avoided as it can aggravate the side effects. If any of the side effects bother you or persist, consult the doctor without delay.

Before receiving the treatment, inform your doctor if you are on any medication for any other health condition. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor also know if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Treatment of Overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms

Cystran 2.5 Tablet is an antimuscarinic. It works by relaxing muscles of the urinary bladder and prevents frequent, urgent or uncontrolled urination.

If you miss a dose of Cystran 2.5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Cystran 2.5 Tablet treats symptoms of an overactive bladder by lowering the urge to urinate and controlling urination.

Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and carbonated drinks as they can worsen your symptoms.

It may cause dizziness and blurring of vision. Don’t drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.

Dry mouth, dry eyes, and constipation may occur as a side effect. Maintain good oral hygiene, drink water frequently, chew sugarless gum, and wear contact lenses with caution.

It can take up to 4 weeks before you see any improvement in your symptoms. Keep taking it as prescribed.

In Treatment of Overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms

Cystran 2.5 Tablet helps to treat uncontrollable contractions (spasms) of the bladder muscles that causes frequent urination, urgent need to urinate, and inability to control passing of urine. It also relieves painful, or frequent urination and reduces urgency to urinate that may occur with some infections of the urinary tract. This way it helps manage the overactive bladder symptoms efficiently.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Alcohol:UNSAFE

Cystran 2.5 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Cystran 2.5 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Cystran 2.5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Cystran 2.5 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.You may feel drowsy or have blurred vision while you are taking Cystran 2.5 Tablet. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney:CAUTION

Cystran 2.5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cystran 2.5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:CAUTION

Cystran 2.5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cystran 2.5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
