Doxinate XT Tablet ER is a prescription medicine that has a combination of medicines that is used to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It helps in controlling the feeling of nausea and vomiting. It replenishes the body with essential nutrients.

Doxinate XT Tablet ER has all active forms of vitamins which help in preventing neural tube defects, pregnancy-related anemia and associated complications of pregnancy due to elevated homocysteine levels. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Check the label before use.

The most common side effects of this medicine include dryness in the mouth, constipation, lightheadedness, and drowsiness. If any of these side effects bother you or get worse, you should speak to your doctor. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects.

Do not take this medicine more than the recommended dose. Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicine or have any known allergy from this medicine. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Doxinate XT Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Doxinate XT Tablet ER is a combination of four medicines: Doxylamine, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), L-Methyl Folate Calcium and Methylcobalamin which treat nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy. Doxylamine is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby controlling nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is a form of vitamin B which possesses anti-nausea properties. L-Methyl Folate Calcium and Methylcobalamin provide essential nutrients.

Q: What if you forget to take Doxinate XT Tablet ER?
A: If you miss a dose of Doxinate XT Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Doxinate XT Tablet ER helps treat nausea and vomiting in pregnant women.

Do not take Doxinate XT Tablet ER with other sedating medications such as those for cough and cold as the combination could worsen dizziness leading to falls or other accidents.

Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. This is because Doxinate XT Tablet ER can decrease sweating and you may be more prone to heat stroke.

Doxinate XT Tablet ER helps you cope up with nausea or vomiting that occurs due to hormonal changes during pregnancy. It also helps restore health and vitality. It works by blocking certain chemicals in the body that makes you feel sick during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using.

Pregnancy:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Doxinate XT Tablet ER is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.

Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Doxinate XT Tablet ER is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.Larger doses or prolonged use of Doxinate XT Tablet ER may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Driving:UNSAFE

Doxinate XT Tablet ER may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Doxinate XT Tablet ER is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Doxinate XT Tablet ER may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
