Dubix-K Tablet is a combination medicine used to prevent bleeding. It helps in reducing bleeding during periods and after surgery. It also works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation.

Description
Dubix-K Tablet should be taken with food regularly at a fixed time each day. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Follow your doctor advice while taking this medicine. It is recommended to take the combination on the first day of your period as taking it before or after period will not make any affect.
It may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, headache, and nasal congestion. It may cause diarrhea, so its better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. You must inform your doctor if you do not observe any changes in bleeding even after three menstrual periods.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any vaginal bleeding or kidney disease. You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant, or planing a pregnancy. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dubix-K Tablet is to be taken with food.
MOA
Dubix-K Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Mefenamic acid, Tranexamic acid and Vitamin K which reduce excessive bleeding and pain. Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tranexamic acid is an anti-fibrinolytic. It works by helping blood clot normally to reduce bleeding during periods, or after surgery. Vitamin K is also blood clotting vitamin which controls excessive bleeding.
What If
If you miss a dose of Dubix-K Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Drug Tips
Dubix-K Tablet helps prevent or reduce heavy bleeding post surgery and in conditions such as heavy periods, nose bleeds and tooth extraction.
If taking for heavy periods, take it on the first day as taking it before or after will not have any benefit.
Inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your bleeding after using this medicine for three consecutive periods.
Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
