Dutoid Capsule is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It shrinks the size of the enlarged prostate gland to relieve symptoms like pain and difficulty in passing urine.
Dutoid Capsule can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration of the medicine should be taken as per prescription. An overdose of it may cause harm to your health. It is better to take the medicine at the same time each day and it must be swallowed as a whole. It may take some time for the medicine to act upon the symptoms, so it is important to take the medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine.This medicine is usually well tolerated. However, it may cause some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive, trouble getting and maintaining an erection (impotence), and decrease sperm count. Some people may also experience allergic reactions such as itching, rashes, and swelling of the lips or face. If you experience any of these side effects, consult your doctor without delay.Before starting the treatment, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking any medication for any health condition. Remember not to donate blood for six months after taking the last dose of this medicine.

05How It Works
Dutoid Capsule is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It blocks an enzyme which is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve the symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.
06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Dutoid Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

When your prostate gland becomes enlarged it can cause urinary problems such as difficulty passing urine and a need to go to the toilet frequently or urgently. It can also cause urine flow to be slower. If not treated, there is a risk that your urine flow will be completely blocked. Dutoid Capsule works by relaxing muscles in the bladder and prostate. So, it can rapidly relieve the symptoms and make it easier for you to urinate. However, it may take up to 6 months to notice the full benefit. Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Dutoid Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Dutoid Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver:CAUTION
Dutoid Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dutoid Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Dutoid Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

Your doctor has prescribed Dutoid Capsule to shrink the enlarged prostate and reduce the risk of urinary retention.
It may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Dutoid Capsule. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor.
Dutoid Capsule is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive.
Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Dutoid Capsule.
