You can take Eklot T Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by the doctor, and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Remember to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn’t be stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor.
Common side effects of Eklot T Tablet include nausea, stomach pain, headache, nasal congestion, sinus pain, sinus inflammation, rash, tiredness, and musculoskeletal (bone, muscle, or joint) pain. It may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine, as it may help to prevent dehydration. It is advised to consult with your doctor if you do not notice any changes in periods after 3 consecutive periods.
Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any kidney problems or vaginal bleeding disorder. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking. You might be asked for eye check-ups while taking this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eklot T Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Eklot T Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tranexamic acid and ethamsylate. Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controlling excessive bleeding. Ethamsylate is a hemostatic. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).

Q: What if you forget to take Eklot T Tablet?
A: If you miss a dose of Eklot T Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Liver:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Eklot T Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Eklot T Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
10Drug Tips
Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy food to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
If you get diarrhea while taking this medicine, consult your doctor immediately.
Along with taking Eklot T Tablet, you can use a heating pad or try gentle massage and relaxation techniques to get relief during periods.
Inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your bleeding after using this medicine for three consecutive periods.
Inform your doctor if you have any bleeding disorders.
