Ferirad-XT Tablet

Ferirad-XT Tablet is a combination of nutritional supplements prescribed to treat nutritional deficiencies in the body. It ensures the proper growth and functioning of the body and strengthens immunity.

Ferirad-XT Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, take it in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor; do not take it in more than the recommended dose. It is also advised to take this medicine at a fixed time every day to avoid missing a dose. 

It is usually a safe medicine with very minimal or no side effects. However, if you experience any unusual symptoms while taking this medicine, consult your doctor. They may be able to help you by adjusting the dose or prescribing you an alternative medicine.

Before taking Ferirad-XT Tablet, tell your doctor if you have any other health conditions. Inform them if you are taking any other medicines or are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also advised to stop alcohol intake after taking this medicine.

Treatment of Nutritional deficiencies

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ferirad-XT Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Ferirad-XT Tablet contains three ingredients namely folic acid, iron, and zinc. Folic acid is essential for production of red blood cells. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia. Iron replenishes the iron stores in the body and corrects iron deficiency anemia. Zinc is needed for the body’s immune system to work properly. It plays a role in growth, wound healing, and maintaining gut health. Zinc is also needed for the senses of taste and smell.

Q: What if you forget to take Ferirad-XT Tablet?
A: If you miss a dose of Ferirad-XT Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Avoid taking antacids 2 hours before or after taking Ferirad-XT Tablet as they make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.

Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like antihypertensives, antibiotics, or medicines for heart disease or bone disorders.

Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.

Along with taking Ferirad-XT Tablet, take a healthy diet, sleep for a minimum 6-7 hours at night, and reduce stress levels.
