Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops is a medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes and ear. It kills and prevents the growth of infection-causing bacteria. This way it relieves the symptoms and speeds up the healing process.
Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops is to be used only in the affected eye or ear. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Complete your dose even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may bring back the infection.

Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.
Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of two medicines: Ciprofloxacin and Betamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
If you miss a dose of Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
Do not touch the tip to any surface to avoid contamination.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication to avoid dilution.
It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if your condition hasn’t improved after seven days of treatment.
