Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of low levels of sodium in the blood. It treats low levels of sodium in the blood, which can result from conditions such as heart failure, cirrhosis, and syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH).
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet can be taken with or without food. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.
Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as frequent urge to urinate, nocturia (increased urge to urinate during the night), dryness in mouth, increased thirst, constipation. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away with time or get worse. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys or liver. While on this medicine, your doctor will closely monitor the sodium levels in your blood. You should also tell your doctor all the other medications you are taking.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hyponat-O 15 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
05How It Works
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is a vasopressin antagonist. It works by blocking the effect of the hormone vasopressin in the body. This increases urine production, reduces the amount of water in the blood and raises the blood sodium level.
06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Hyponat-O 15 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Hyponat-O 15 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving:UNSAFE
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is recommended.However, the use of Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver:CAUTION
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hyponat-O 15 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Hyponat-O 15 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
10Drug Tips
Hyponat-O 15 Tablet treats low sodium levels in the blood.
It also improves urine flow without causing the body to lose too much sodium as you urinate.
Take it at the same time everyday. Take it according to the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor.
To avoid dehydration, it is best to drink something as soon as you feel thirsty, but avoid alcoholic drinks.
Do not take Hyponat-O 15 Tablet if you are unable to urinate, if you are unable to tell when you are thirsty, or if you are severely dehydrated.
You will need to be in a hospital under observation any time you start or restart treatment with Hyponat-O 15 Tablet.
Inform your doctor if you notice problems with speech or muscle control, trouble swallowing, trouble moving your arms and legs, or mood changes.
Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain.
