Joypil 5mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It helps in improving blood flow to the penile region, thereby facilitating and sustaining an erection. It is effective in treating symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Joypil 5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dosage. The medicine will only help you get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. Do not exceed the prescribed dose, and avoid using it without proper medical guidance.

Common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, and muscle and back pain. If any of these side effects do not go away on their own or bother you, consult your doctor. They can suggest ways to reduce or treat them.

Do not use Joypil 5mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components of this medicine. Consult a doctor before using if you have a history of heart problems, high or low blood pressure, liver or kidney issues, or if you are taking any other medications. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Joypil 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Joypil 5mg Tablet belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penile region, which increases blood flow upon sexual stimulation, thus facilitating an erection. In cases of BPH, it relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder.

Q: What if you forget to take Joypil Tablet?
A: If you miss a dose of Joypil 5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If taken for erectile dysfunction, take Joypil 5mg Tablet 30 minutes to an hour before sexual intercourse for the best result.

Do not take it more than once a day.

Avoid drinking alcohol, as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.

Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.

Do not use Joypil 5mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain) or if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months, a stroke, or heart failure in the past 6 months.

Q. Can the use of Joypil 5mg Tablet affect fertility?

No, using Joypil 5mg Tablet does not affect fertility. It works by relaxing the muscles of the penile blood vessels and does not affect fertility.

Q. Do I need to avoid alcohol while taking Joypil 5mg Tablet?

Alcohol in small amounts may not cause you any discomfort. However, drinking too much alcohol (5 units or greater) can increase your chances of getting a headache or feeling dizzy, an increased heart rate, or low blood pressure.

Q. What are the symptoms that should prompt me to discontinue Joypil 5mg Tablet?

You should immediately consult your doctor if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, sudden decrease in hearing or hearing loss, ringing in the ears, or dizziness. Also, contact your doctor if you experience prolonged erections greater than 4 hours and painful erections greater than 6 hours in duration.
