Basic Info
Description
Mypidd Oral Drops belongs to a class of medicines called steroids. It helps treat certain types of allergies, inflammatory conditions, autoimmune disorders, hormonal disorders, and even cancer in children. It is also the treatment of choice after organ transplantation and for Nephrotic syndrome in children.
Give Mypidd Oral Drops to your child with food. The usually prescribed frequency is once daily, preferably in the morning after breakfast. The dose of this medication will depend on your childโs clinical condition, body weight, age, and treatment response. Use Mypidd Oral Drops only for the recommended duration of time. Do not prolong its use, more than recommended as that may lead to increased side effects. Also, do not stop giving this medicine suddenly. Sudden withdrawal may affect the ongoing treatment and the child may exhibit withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, vomiting, and thirst. The dose needs to be gradually reduced before stopping it completely. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Mypidd Oral Drops, let the child calm down, and then give the same dose again.
The most common side effects associated with the use of Mypidd Oral Drops include increased appetite, weight gain, increased blood pressure, and behavioral and mood changes. Many of these usually go away once the treatment is stopped. However, in case these persist or start bothering your child, consult your childโs doctor without any delay. Taking Mypidd Oral Drops can also make it harder for your child to fight off infections. Tell the doctor if your child shows any signs of infection such as fever or sore throat.
Never practice self-medication, always consult your childโs doctor for advice. Your childโs doctor must be aware of your childโs entire medical history, including any previous episode of allergy, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. Having an insight into your childโs overall health will help. This will guide the doctor in planning your childโs overall treatment.

MOA
Mypidd Oral Drops is a steroid medicine. What If
Q: What if you forget to take Mypidd Oral Drops?
A: Do not panic. Unless your childโs doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if it is almost the time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
Drug Tips
Prefer giving Mypidd Oral Drops with food as an empty stomach can trigger acidity and gastric reflux.
Do not give this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
Your child may be more likely to get new infections. Also, in some cases, old infections may become active. Tell your childโs doctor if you see any signs of an infection such as fever, cough, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Delay vaccination while your child is taking Mypidd Oral Drops as it may not work well. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given after consulting a doctor.
Do not stop the medicine abruptly. Seek the doctorโs guidance to taper the dose gradually as sudden withdrawal may result in a steroid withdrawal syndrome.
Always check with your child’s doctor before giving any other medications, including those that don’t need a prescription (over-the-counter medicines).
