Oflo DM Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Oflo DM Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines : Ofloxacin and Beclometasone. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It treats bacterial eye/ear infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. Beclometasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make your eye red, swollen and itchy.
What If
If you miss a dose of Oflo DM Eye Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Drug Tips
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
Do not touch the tip to any surface to avoid contamination.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication to avoid dilution.
It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if your condition hasn’t improved after seven days of treatment.
