Otolux G Eye Drop is a medicine used to treat bacterial eye infections. It kills and prevents the growth of infection-causing bacteria in the eyes. This way it relieves the symptoms and speeds up the healing process.

Otolux G Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye. Read the label carefully for instructions before you use the medicine. Do not use too much or too little. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed on the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Complete your dose even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may bring back the infection.

Common side effects include burning and stinging sensations, eye redness, temporary blurred vision, or increased intraocular pressure. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Otolux G Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Gentamicin. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy. Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

A: If you miss a dose of Otolux G Eye Drop, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not self-medicate or use for longer than recommended.

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Otolux G Eye Drop.

Do not wear contact lenses during treatment unless your doctor advises it’s safe.

Inform your doctor if you experience eye irritation, blurred vision, or signs of infection.

Do not stop using the drops suddenly without consulting your doctor, especially if used for longer durations.

In Treatment of Bacterial eye infections

Otolux G Eye Drop is used to treat bacterial infection of the eyes such as conjunctivitis or pink eye. It stops the growth of bacteria causing infection and helps relieve pain, swelling, redness, itching or irritation in the eyes. Use it 2-3 times a day for atleast a week or as prescribed by the doctor. Your symptoms might improve after using Otolux G Eye Drop. However, make sure to complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.
