Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet may be habit-forming and should be taken only as directed by your doctor. The medicine may be a part of your treatment which could include receiving social and psychological support. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some of the common side effects of this medicine include headache, sweating, drug withdrawal syndrome, nausea, vomiting, and constipation. It may also cause numbness in mouth, tongue pain, back pain, lightheadedness, irregular heartbeat, blurred vision, sleep disturbance, difficulty in paying attention and fainting. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you.

This medicine causes dizziness and sleepiness, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms.

Opioid dependence

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: buprenorphine and naloxone which treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine is an opioid partial agonist. It prevents withdrawal symptoms in patients who stop taking opioid drugs by producing similar effects to these drugs. Naloxone is an opioid antagonist which blocks the opioid receptors to prevent withdrawal side effects.

If you miss a dose of Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet is used for the treatment of opoid addiction and dependence.

Some people feel uncomfortable during the first two to three days of taking Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet. Continue taking it as advised by your doctor.

This medicine has been prescribed for you. Never give it to other people even if their condition appears to be the same as yours.

It is important that you keep your regular appointments with your doctor or clinic so your progress can be reviewed.

You are more likely to succeed in staying off opioid drugs if you have support and counseling in addition to taking Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet.

Inform your doctor if you are taking anti-depressants.

Inform your doctor if you have any breathing problems, such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems.

Breast feeding:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Qudict 2 mg/0.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:CAUTION
