Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is used for the treatment of eye diseases which are caused by diabetes, macular degeneration, and macular swelling. It reduces the abnormal growth and leakage of blood vessels in the eye that can cause vision loss.

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is administered directly into the eyeball by an eye specialist. You should not self administer this medicine at home. The common side effects include conjunctival hemorrhage, eye pain, eye floaters, increased intraocular pressure, and eye inflammation.

However, if you experience these side effects for a longer duration or any other symptoms which you think may be due to this medicine, please inform your doctor. It is not advised to drive after administration of this injection as it may cause blurring of vision.

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is a monoclonal antibody. It works in cancer by stopping the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to cancerous cells. This may slow the growth and spread of cancer.

It may cause temporary visual disturbances. Don’t drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection affects you.

Inform your doctor if you experience increased eye pain and redness, blurred or decreased vision, or increased sensitivity to light.

Wear sunglasses if your eyes feel sensitive to light

Use eye drops if they are prescribed to you by your doctor.

Ask your doctor if you should avoid any particular activities.

Try to rest your eyes as much as possible (for at least a few hours).

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is to be administered by intravitreal (into the eye) injection once a month. Your doctor will use a medicine to numb your eye before giving you the injection. You will receive this injection in a hospital or clinic setting.

Yes, some of the common side effects of Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection are eye redness, sensitivity to light, pain, and abnormal vision. Seek immediate medical help in such cases.

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to the medication or have an active eye infection.

Q. What is the duration of treatment for Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection?

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is recommended to be initially administered by intravitreal injection (into the eye) once a month (approximately 28 days) for up to 3 months.

Q. What precautions should I take after taking Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection?

After taking Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection:
a. You should not wash your face and hair or shower for 48 hours
b. Avoid rubbing your eyes
c. Avoid swimming for a week. Consult your doctor in case of any doubts
d. Do not wear contact lenses immediately after injection. You may wear spectacles instead
e. Give complete rest to your eyes and do not strain by looking at television, mobile phones, or computer screens for 1-2 days.

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.

Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ranizurel 0.5mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
