Tarzil Lotion consists of two medicines: coal tar and salicylic acid, both work together to treat psoriasis by addressing the underlying causes. Coal tar decreases skin cells’ rapid proliferation, decreasing scaling and inflammation in psoriatic plaques. Salicylic acid plays a supporting role in the process by softening and dissolving the thick, scaly patches and enhancing skin texture. Combined, these agents can help lower the psoriasis symptoms, promote softer skin, and allow the skin’s natural repair process.

Q: What if you forget to take Tarzil Lotion?
A: If you miss a dose of Tarzil Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Psoriasis is a skin problem in which skin cells build up and form scales and dry patches. Applying Tarzil Lotion helps manage psoriasis symptoms like itching, pain, redness, swelling or irritation. It moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and smooth. Tarzil Lotion is also an effective treatment for scalp psoriasis and reduces dryness, itchiness and scaling on the scalp. Follow the directions exactly until your condition improves which might take 8 weeks or more.

Tarzil Lotion is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort associated with psoriasis.

It may take several weeks to show its action. Keep using it as suggested by your doctor.

Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying Tarzil Lotion.

Apply it as a thin layer onto a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin.

Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.

Don’t cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.

After you have applied Tarzil Lotion, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area).

Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome skin dryness during the course of treatment.
