Taurib MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.

Taurib MR Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as precribed by the doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Taurib MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Q: What if you forget to take Taurib MR Tablet?
A: If you miss a dose of Taurib MR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Taurib MR Tablet helps relieve pain due to muscle spasm.

It may cause dizziness and fatigue. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.

Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Taurib MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness.

Regularly monitor your blood pressure while taking this medicine, particularly in the first two weeks after starting treatment.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain.

Taurib MR Tablet, when used for long-term pain relief, should be continued for as long as advised by your physician. It can be discontinued if you are using it for short-term pain relief.

Yes, the use of Taurib MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Taurib MR Tablet?

The use of Taurib MR Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDS) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Q. Can I take Taurib MR Tablet with Vitamin B-complex?

Yes, Taurib MR Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Taurib MR Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.

Q. Can the use of Taurib MR Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, the long-term use of Taurib MR Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
