Torimac-MR Tablet

Torimac-MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.

Torimac-MR Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as precribed by the doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Common side effects of this medicine include abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and drowsiness. If any of these side effects persit or bother you, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Torimac-MR Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Torimac-MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Q: What if you forget to take Torimac-MR Tablet?
A: If you miss a dose of Torimac-MR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Torimac-MR Tablet helps relieve pain due to muscle spasm.

It may cause dizziness and fatigue. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.

Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Torimac-MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness.

Regularly monitor your blood pressure while taking this medicine, particularly in the first two weeks after starting treatment.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain.

Q. Can I stop taking Torimac-MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?

Torimac-MR Tablet, when used for long-term pain relief, should be continued for as long as advised by your physician. It can be discontinued if you are using it for short-term pain relief.

Q. Can the use of Torimac-MR Tablet cause dizziness?

Yes, the use of Torimac-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Torimac-MR Tablet?

The use of Torimac-MR Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDS) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Q. Can I take Torimac-MR Tablet with Vitamin B-complex?

Yes, Torimac-MR Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Torimac-MR Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.

Q. Can the use of Torimac-MR Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, the long-term use of Torimac-MR Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.

Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

Driving:UNSAFE

Torimac-MR Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.If you experience dizziness, vertigo or somnolence while on treatment with Torimac-MR Tablet, avoid driving.
