Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen and itchy.
If you miss a dose of Tympalin C Ear Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Tympalin C Ear Drop is used to ease pain, swelling associated with ear infections.
Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear.
Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
Do not try to clean inside your ear with cotton buds. If you stick buds or other objects into your ear, they can further damage your ear. Just wipe the outside of your ear with a clean cloth or tissue if any discharge appears.
Do not use the medicine for a longer time without doctor consultation.
Make sure not to use the open bottle for more than 4 weeks.
