Urocare 25 Tablet is used in the treatment of urinary retention (inability to urinate), which usually occurs following surgery or after giving birth. It helps contract the muscles of the bladder, which further leads to urination.

Urocare 25 Tablet is advised to take it in a dose and duration as per prescription. It can be taken on an empty stomach, but take it at a fixed time regularly. You should not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor, as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms.

Urocare 25 Tablet is generally well tolerated, with minimal side effects. However, in rare cases, some individuals may experience mild symptoms such as stomach cramps, nausea, belching, diarrhea, increased bowel sounds, excessive saliva, or a stronger urge to urinate. If these symptoms persist, worsen, or cause discomfort, consult your doctor.

Treatment of Urinary retention

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Urocare 25 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Urocare 25 Tablet works by activating specific receptors called muscarinic receptors, which are part of the body’s nervous system. These receptors send signals to the bladder, helping it squeeze and push urine out. Urocare 25 Tablet is useful for people who have trouble urinating due to nerve-related issues, surgery, or certain medical conditions.

Q: What if you forget to take Urocare Tablet?
A: If you miss a dose of Urocare 25 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take it on an empty stomach, half an hour before food, to reduce the risk of feeling sick.

Urocare 25 Tablet is not suitable if urinary retention is caused by a blockage or obstruction. Consult your doctor for a proper evaluation.

Urocare 25 Tablet can cause dizziness or fainting, especially when standing up too quickly. Move slowly when changing positions to avoid falls.

If you experience severe symptoms like difficulty breathing or an irregular heartbeat, contact a doctor immediately.

Q. Does Urocare 25 Tablet affect blood pressure?

Yes, Urocare 25 Tablet affects the blood pressure by decreasing it. This medicine may also slow down your pulse rate. In some cases, especially at the beginning of therapy, sudden changes of posture may lead to feelings of dizziness or giddiness (orthostatic hypotension). Consult your doctor in case you experience any of these symptoms.

Q. How long does it take for Urocare 25 Tablet to start working?

Urocare 25 Tablet starts acting quickly, within 60 to 90 minutes of taking it. The effect of the medicine lasts for 6 hours, and therefore, a gap of at least 6 hours should be maintained between two doses.

Q. What if I forget to take a dose of Urocare 25 Tablet?

If you miss a dose and remember within an hour of the scheduled dose, then you can take the dose. If, however, the gap is more than two or more hours, then do not take the medicine and wait until the next dose is due. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Q. Is Urocare 25 Tablet an anticholinergic?

No, Urocare 25 Tablet is not an anticholinergic; on the contrary, it is a cholinergic medicine. It is used to relieve difficulties in urinating caused by surgery, post-pregnancy, medicines, or other factors.

Q. Can Urocare 25 Tablet cause stomach upset?

Urocare 25 Tablet may cause severe stomach pain, belching, nausea, diarrhea, and increased sounds from the stomach when taken in large doses. If you experience these symptoms, which are severe and persist for a longer time, then you should tell your doctor.

Urinary retention means problems in emptying the bladder. This may be due to the disturbed coordination of nerves and muscles of the bladder, which leads to the inability to pass urine. Urocare 25 Tablet induces contractions in the bladder muscles and improves their function. This helps to treat urinary retention effectively. Urocare 25 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding:CAUTION

Urocare 25 Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Urocare 25 Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney:CAUTION

Urocare 25 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Urocare 25 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
