Cough with mucus

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Wencof L Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Wencof L Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol and Guaifenesin which relieve cough with mucus. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways.

Q: What if you forget to take Wencof L Syrup?
A: If you miss a dose of Wencof L Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Wencof L Syrup relieves cough accompanied with mucus that is associated with broncho-pulmonary disorders such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma and emphysema.

It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.

If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease.

Stop taking Wencof L Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache.

In Cough with mucus

Wencof L Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. It also relaxes the muscles of the airways and widens it. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Wencof L Syrup will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Alcohol:UNSAFE

Wencof L Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Wencof L Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Wencof L Syrup is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving:UNSAFE

Wencof L Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney:CAUTION

Wencof L Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Wencof L Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Wencof L Syrup in these patients.

Liver:CAUTION
