It is advised to take Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER with food at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of medicine in the blood. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.
Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, weakness, dizziness, decreased blood pressure, increased potassium level in blood, orthostatic hypotension (occasionally with syncope), breathlessness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and fatigue. It is advised to avoid potassium rich food and supplements while taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, avoid driving or rise slowly from the sitting position. Q: What if you forget to take Acmetel MT Tablet ER?
A: If you miss a dose of Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Pregnancy:CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving:UNSAFE
Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney:SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER is recommended.
Liver:CAUTION
Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Acmetel-MT 50 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
